Provo Canyon, Provo, Utah
Above and below are pics of Provo Canyon above BYU.
Provo Canyon is famous for natural rock walls. While hiking with the Hughes on a Tuesday afternoon in June we saw rock climbers on walls (pictured above) 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, and 9, if we had gone further we may have seen many more! The kids loved it but couldn't wait to get to the stream where they played for hours!

Stuart Falls, Sundance, Utah

On a quiet Sunday afternoon in June we decided to hike up to Stuart Falls for a picnic. Now picture this waterfall with 3 to 4 times more water! So strong was the waterfall that we were wet from mist within 100 feet of it! The waterfall was 2 miles from the Aspen Grove area, above Sundance. We had done this hike about 3 or 4 years ago but none of us remembered that it was 4 miles round trip! My legs sure felt in by the end. But I'm so glad we went, the only thing we forgot to do was sing camp songs along the way! Everyone was a trooper and our dog Sam led the hike about 10 feet in front of us, but always stopped to make sure we were caught up before he moved on, he's a keeper! It was a great family day!

Donut Falls in Cottonwood Canyon, Salt Lake City, Utah We hiked to Donut Falls on June 24th, it was breathtaking! Not everyone crossed over the creek to see the entire waterfall since the water was higher than ever this year. Lisa, Jonny and Owen played it a little safe and relaxed on a huge boulder soaking up the sun, while Kimi, Chloe, Amy, Kara, Daci, and Luke all crossed the knee deep creek to get a closer look! I can't believe that we've lived here in Utah for more than 18 years and we had never heard of donut falls! I felt like I was at Yosemite, or Yellowstone! Utah has so much beauty and variety, its amazing!

Baby Kate

My first Grandbaby, Kate Elise Craven is beautiful.

Born April 9th 2009, She weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and was 18 inches long.

She just had her 2 week pediatric appointment

and now weighs 7 lbs 8 oz, and is 20 3/4 inches long!

Christen is due April 12th! Mike and Chrissy have already named her Kate. We can hardly wait to hold her!

Christmas Season!

Our Tree is Up! Our Lights are on! And we are so excited to celebrate Christmas this year with our family !!! We got into the spirit by decorating Gingerbread Houses for Family Night!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween this year in Provo was Beautiful, it was an amazing 70 degrees outside! Chloe went with some friends and lost her shoes half way through trick or treating! Never before in Utah would that have happened. (We borrowed some shoes from a good friend to finish up the night.)

Chloe went as a Swedish Girl and Jonny as a Power Ranger. Both had a great time, and got way too much candy.

Chaos turned into Cuteness this past Sunday when our family took the yearly photo. After getting the dog to lie down and both Jonny & Josh to stop making faces, we made a mountain of memories.
